Service history. Built by Special Vehicles. Power take-off winch. Interior reconfigured. 2 side lockers. Bodywork is good for its age. New engine bay bulkhead in 2020. 184,000 miles, engine has never missed a beat.

A heavily modified 2005 Ex Scottish Power 110 Defender with a TD5 engine. Went through its MOT 30th November so has 8 months. Has a full service history and all receipts for work carried out in the time I have owned it. High mileage of close to 184,000 but in all the years I have had it the engine has never missed a beat and never had any work other than servicing at the time of being MOTed. It was built by Special Vehicles Division. The engine, suspension, steering etc is as it came out of the factory. It has heavy duty suspension. There is a power take off winch fitted. It was bought as a mobile workshop van and the interior has been completely reconfigured to be as flexible and adaptable as possible. The cab has options for 2 seats and cubby tray or the 3rd seat and the cubby tray removed. The rear has 3 foldaway seats. A 4th was fitted and removed once it was no longer needed but will be included as part of the sale to refit as required. There are 2 bespoke built side lockers suitable for carrying anything you want but each will fit 2 x gerry cans. A snorkel is fitted. The ECU has been moved from under the driver’s seat to the bulkhead behind the driver’s seat as a flood protection measure (Carlisle has been known to get very moist at times!) There is a hidden ignition kill switch, the hiding place of which will be revealed only when the buyer pays up and ownership is transferred. The vehicle has had parts removed such as work lights roof rack and yellow flashing roof mounted beacons so there are holes in in the roof which have been plugged but obvious. There are also holes in the interior where fixings for the workshop interior were removed, but again plugged. Generally the bodywork is good for its age but definitely not showroom condition. A new engine bay bulkhead was added in 2020. For test drives I must see your insurance certificate that states you are allowed to drive other people’s vehicles, otherwise I take you out as a passenger. My insurer has been problematic this year!
