This 1977 101 Ambulance/Camper has had every mechanical upgrade done by Martin at 101Parts. These include a 4.6 Stage 3 "Torquemax" spec motor built by Ray at V8 Developments. Which uses a Edelbrock 500 carb, flowing through a Rimmer Bros big bore exhaust. This is coupled to a HP22/24 hybrid 4-speed automatic gearbox built by Ashcroft Transmissions, mated to an uprated LT230 transfer box built by Syncro gearboxes with larger bearings, stronger shafts, with an ATB centre differential an extended oil pan. Both axle diffs have cast iron covers by Solid which give extra protection and oil capacity. The rear diff has a Detroit Locker inside. The steering is power assisted using a Defender box and RR pump. Disc brakes are fitted all round.
Inside, it has a permanent bed for one that can be extended into a large double. It has twin batteries, charged via a split charger. There is also a 260w solar panel on the roof and a mains powered charger that operates whenever its connected to a 240v supply via breaker protected 16a input socket that also feeds a double and single 3-pin sockets. There's Dometic 65ltr 12 volt fridge, as well as a single burner/sink unit with pumped water.
Its registered as Historic, so is TAX, MOT and ULEZ exempt.
