210 Land Rovers take part in massive fundraiser
Norfolk Landy convoy raises £3300 for charity Images

Returning for the first time since 2019, the Land Rover Run – organised by Grant Cotterell and Lynn Twit, was a runaway success. The event is now in its fifth year – for 2020’s get-together they organised a virtual ‘stay at home run’ on Facebook – so it seemed only fi tting that this year it was called ‘the Freedom Run’.

The 210-strong convoy, which saw Land Rovers of all types from Series Is to Discovery G4s and the latest Defender, travelled from Norfolk’s Pensthorpe Natural Park to Holkham Hall (pictured above), and raised £3300 in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity. It was the event’s biggest gathering yet and the weather gods were playing ball, allowing for some fabulous photo opportunities. They were also very fortunate to have been given access to Sennowe Park and the circular off-road track at the impressive Muckleburgh Military Collection. Mr Cotterell, the station manager at Great Yarmouth Fire Station said: “I was incredibly humbled by the generosity and support that people gave to our event. The venues go above and beyond to make it a special day and what they do in their contributions is staggering – that they would be that generous is humbling.”

The Land Rover Run has now raised over £18,000 since its first event in 2017 at Sandringham – supported by LRM’s very own Steve Miller. If you’re interested in attending next year, then email [email protected].
