Range Rover Sport enhanced with special edition models and new straight-six mild-hybrid diesels

The Range Rover Sport has received an array of upgrades to enhance its appeal, including efficient new six-cylinder diesel engines, advanced technology and connectivity and eight new exterior colour options and interior choices. In addition new special-edition models are joining the existing line-up giving Range Rover Sport buyers more choice than ever.

With new in-line Ingenium diesel engines featuring mild hybrid technology drivers benefit from the performance of the older engines but with the fuel consumption and emissions of a modern six-cylinder unit. The D350 and D300, replace the V8 and V6 diesel, and bring Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology to the Range Rover Sport for the first time; being RDE2-certiifed, they’re also one of the world’s leading clean diesel engines.

Alongside the smoother, more refined and more efficient diesel engines are a range of powerful petrol and PHEV powertrains. The Range Rover Sport P400e PHEV, provides 25 miles (41 km) of EV range and claimed fuel economy of 88.3 mpg (3.2l/100 km), thanks to a powerful 300 PS (221 kW) Ingenium petrol engine and an 105 kW electric motor for a combined 404 PS (297 kW). It’s also quick – reaching 60 mph in 5.9 seconds (0-100 km in 6.3 seconds). The now standard-fit Mode 3 cable means a full charge takes less than three hours from a wall box or public charging point, compared to 7.5 hours via a regular Mode 2 cable.

The latest Range Rover Sport engine range comprises:
