More than just a magazine, LRM is now the name behind the Newbury and Malvern Land Rover Spares Days events

Land Rover Monthly is pleased to announce its acquisition of the event portfolio from Mark Woodward Classic Events. The deal includes the well-respected Malvern 4x4, Land Rover & Vintage Spares Day (plus Drive in Day) and the Newbury 4x4, Land Rover & Vintage Spares Day, home of the UK’s largest 4x4 autojumble. To all those fans of the previous shows, fear not, the format will remain the same – LRM knows how visitors love the fact it represents great value for money and appeals to all 4x4 enthusiasts. To that end there will still be hundreds of trade stands displaying their wares together with plenty of small clubs; its acquisition will simply mean more enthusiasts than ever will get to hear about the shows, and as a result they will be bigger and better.

LRM will also make things a lot simpler – whatever event visitors attend, tickets will cost £7.50 if pre-booked or £10 on the day. For those who do pre-book they benefit from early access (09.30 am). Accompanied children 15-and-under are free, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. In terms of traders and exhibitors, for those who pre-book an outdoor plot they’ll pay £35 (or £40 on the gate) regardless of whether it’s Newbury or Malvern. In terms of an indoor plot, Newbury – with over 25 acres of space – is £60 for those who pre-book (or £65 on the day) whereas the smaller Malvern show will be £40 and £50 respectively. Each plot booking is for one vehicle with or without a trailer, plus two adults (additional adults will be subject to normal admission and arrive all together with the stand booking).

As for outdoor plots, traders and exhibitors can use as much space as they sensibly require, while indoor drive-in plots boast a six-metre frontage and are five-metres deep. All events will be Covid-compliant with wide walkways and plenty of space. There will be lots of new and used spares on show, as well as obsolete Land Rover parts from all eras. On the stalls you’ll find anything and everything from clothing, new tools and ex-army surplus and equipment, to off-road accessories and camping equipment. Also expect dealer and yard clear-outs, plus plenty of vehicle sales. The vintage section includes literally anything motoring-related.

Editor of LRM, Patrick Cruywagen said: “Anyone who loves old cars and Land Rovers loves a quality autojumble. Newbury and Malvern are where you go to find the parts you have not been able to find More than just a magazine, LRM is now the name behind the Newbury and Malvern Land Rover Spares Days events anywhere else. Our purchase of these events heralds the start of new and exciting times at LRM. They say if it ain’t broke then don’t fi x it, so be assured the 2022 Spares Days will be run the same way as previous events. LRM is looking forward to welcoming you there.”

Mark Woodward, the name originally behind the shows said: “After organising events full-time since 1997, myself and my wife, Barbara, are really pleased that our 4x4 & Land Rover Spares Days events have now become part of Land Rover Monthly. Since our first Newbury event in 2006 and then our Malvern events, despite Covid and the more recent fuel shortages trying to stop the fun, we have enjoyed every minute. More importantly, we will still be involved working with the enthusiastic team at LRM at the events. See you at the Three Counties Showground on 27 February 2022 for the Malvern 4x4, Land Rover & Vintage Spares Day plus Tractor World Parts & Spares Day.” The five 2022 events are open for booking already and they’ll make a great addition to all of the other amazing Land Rover events in the clubs’ calendar – namely Billing Off Road Show.
