Rather than being named after an exotic foreign location, the latest limited edition Range Rover pays homage to the quaint – and exceptionally wealthy – small town of Burford in the Cotswolds.
Just ten examples of the Range Rover SV Burford Edition will be produced, each with a price tag of £274,995.
Two-tone grey and white theme with woven textiles
Based on the 606bhp Range Rover SV V8 Long Wheelbase, the Burford incorporates a bespoke colour palette inspired by the Cotswold countryside, England’s largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Given that most of the houses in the Cotswolds are made from honey-coloured stone, we’re not sure how the satin-finish Aether Grey body colour meets that brief, but the distinctive metal script badging is smart. The two-tone interior of Light Cloud and Cinder Grey is chic and subdued, while the upholstery is from modern woven textiles, rather than the leather that traditionally swathes a Range Rover’s cabin.
Scatter cushions... every car designer’s secret weapon!
Patrick McGillycuddy, JLR’s MD, says: “The Burford Edition builds on Range Rover’s exclusivity and luxury, and captures the essence of the Cotswolds – one of the most beautiful locations in the UK and the heartland of Range Rover.”
